The impact of Digital Media on the fashion industry

With the emergence of the 'metaverse', the development of science and technology has had a huge impact on art and design. In particular, the application of digital media technology in technical design has transformed people's previous perceptions and completely changed the way art design is done. As a major aid to art and design, digital media technology has not only greatly reduced the difficulty of art and design and made it possible for the general public to participate in art and design, but has also provided a greater creative space and a variety of creative approaches to art and design. I believe that an over-reliance on digital media technology can lead to a convergence and mass production of art and design, which can lead to a lack of flair and soul and a significant reduction in the quality of art and design. In addition, attention should be paid to the influence of commercialisation models on the development trend of art and design to make artworks more elegant and profound.

At this stage in China, along with the continuous development and progress of modern technology, computers have gradually entered every household, and digital media technology has developed very quickly and rapidly during this period, the "digital age" is the beginning of the information age. Art and design itself is expressed in the form of images and graphics, from the traditional forms of expression such as sculpture and painting to the modern digital forms of expression such as film, 3D and computers. Digital media art.

I. Digital media
All new things mature through constant refinement and questioning. Digitalisation has both advantages and disadvantages for the development of art and design. The development of digital technology has helped designers to improve their designs and to create their own designs, and it has been one of the more significant changes in the history of contemporary art and design in China, marking the birth of a new type of art. However, if there is an excessive reliance on computer digital technology, then it can also lead to the relevant design staff into a boring, so that the relevant design staff to the study of computer digital technology is very important, and thus ignore their own understanding and pursuit of art, this view also seriously affects the level of modern design-related staff.

II. Co-development of digital technology and artistic creation
Digital art, also known as digital media art, is a new type of art that uses computer digital technology as a tool and art as a means of expression.
Its advantages include.

1) Ending some of the tedious processes of traditional art.

2) The use of computers to create unique art that is completely different from traditional art, both in terms of subject matter and expression.
(3) The creation of electronic and digital music has added an unprecedented audio-visual revolution to art and design.
(4) The use of 3D technology and the virtual reality of television and film, giving art a strong sense of reality.

From these perspectives, digital technology is very important in the creation of art, and its rational use can create rich, conceptually strong artworks that can bring a broader design vision, a more unique design approach, a special, creative expression of design thinking, and a wide range of interactive learning spaces to the designers involved. In her designs, for example, Stephy Fung devotes herself to digital media art as an avatar, using her own creativity to inject a soul into the art, and this technology is only one expression of that creativity. In a period of contemporary digital development, it is an inevitable trend to combine computer technology with the design ideas of modern Chinese design art. With the development and popularity of modern computer technology, it has become fully integrated into the design of all areas of art. Art and design in China have become integrated with this technology and are closely linked to each other.
With the development and advancement of the times, art and design has become an essential part of people's daily lives, so I have begun to re-examine what our future human lives will look like and what changes will be created in the clothing we need based on these changes in our lives. It is easy to see that with the development of technology, vr/ar technology for example, is slowly penetrating our lives and there are many excellent vr devices available to enhance our connection and perception with the digital world. So I began to realise that digital clothing could perhaps be brought into the real world through these devices, connecting with people from another dimension and enhancing perception.

I began to imagine and believe that perhaps after the next successful technological revolution, virtualised clothing will not only remain on the screen, but can actually go out into the real world and communicate with us in a more intense way.
